Would you drink the water?

I don’t trust the federal government anymore, and I am not sure I should trust my local government. What do you think? Would you drink the water? Think they want us to buy bottled water?

Austin’s funky water OK to drink

People in Austin might notice an unusual taste or color in their tap water. The Austin Water Utility says the water is completely safe.
A similar taste fluctuation happened two years ago. It’s due to an increase in the amount of blue-green algae in the city’s raw water supply.
The city’s trying to neutralize the compounds that cause the unusual taste and odor.

I think you are very wise to question the government, especially now during a time when so many of the public safeguards (government regulations) have been removed in favor of corporate interests.
We need water to survive, which leaves us stranded.
I drink only filtered water (not sure how much this improves it) and have serious doubts about the long term health effects of plastic bottles.
Our government (on all levels) has shown repeatedly they do not have our best interests in mind.
