Some teenagers are stupid! And some are just uninformed. They NEED to start giving us the real facts or kids will be killing themselves trying to stay healthy. I wrote about teen pregnancy and sex education previously here and here and here.

- ORLANDO, Fla. — A recent survey that found some Florida teens believe drinking a cap of bleach will prevent HIV and a shot of Mountain Dew will stop pregnancy has prompted lawmakers to push for an overhaul of sex education in the state.The survey showed that Florida teens also believe that smoking marijuana will prevent a person from getting pregnant.
State lawmakers said the myths are spreading because of Florida’s abstinence-only sex education, Local 6 reported.

What exactly does this have to do with abstinence first sex education? It would appear that these idiots have no sex education, or they didn’t pay attention, or they just lack common sense. I thought most sex-ed policies were all about safe sex and pretty much say do what you want to as long as you are safe. Why do these idiots think clorox or mountain dew will make them safe. This are not taught in abstinence ed. Abstinence first ed centers around waiting till you are mature enough to fully understand what you are doing and the feelings involved, but if you must, at least use available contraceptives. To link that and drinking clorox is insane. This must be a liberal writer who seems to think the failed policy of safe sex-ed is better and wants no part of ab-first-ed. Why are they so concerned with removing morality from sex. Look at all the damage that has been done since they first started, since the sexual revolution.
